Picture This: my green world

April 21, 2010

For my first-ever Picture This photo contest from Gardening Gone Wild, I’ve gone back to some of my first photo explorations after moving to Slaterville Springs. My world was especially green then, as if I’d just been born and every single thing was new. There had never been anything like inhaling the world of grass and wildflowers and lightning bugs right across the street. I still can’t get enough of it.

This one was my entry:

Yes, they were taken right before dark.

I love your entry picture- good luck! I remember when I came back from Bolivia I felt like I’d entered some kind of jungle and I never knew so many colors of green existed.

Exactly! I still get excited about it all, but I would love to have that feeling again of discovery and endless delight.

I love the worm’s eye view. There is nothing like lazing in a field of grass when temperature permit. Good luck with the contest.

Great! I’m thinking taking shots like that as well. It’s one of my perspective. I hope I can start it now. At the same time, I’m always wondering how we can do something about for our environment? I mean how can we preserve the beauty of it? When there are places that are slowly going to become bald. I hope we can do something about it. If we could only unite and make a wide contribution, we can still protect it. =) Let’s make a change and save our environment. There is only one thing I have in mind, that is stop using non-biodegradable materials such as plastic bags. Switch to stainless steel container.
