The only news today is peace

February 29, 2008

The men at the top finally stopped talking in circles and yesterday signed an agreement to share power in the government!
Kenyans feel like it’s a new year at last, rather than the dark and bloody one that started in January. Weapons that were drawn in case things went the other way have been put away. People are smiling, and hopes might renew. There’s a long way to go before Kenya finds its equilibrium, but it’s a start.

I was lucky to be across town at Humble Hearts yesterday, where kids celebrate everyday. It was a good day.

Loved your update. So glad you can spend time at Humble Hearts with the children. A blessing for all. Can’t wait for the next Angel Covers E-bay auction. We continue to enjoy your e-mails and send prayers to you both during your travels and studies.
